These terms cover all forms of tattooing I offer, which includes body tattoos and permanent makeup. I want to make sure we’re both on the same page before you get tattooed by me. Please read my terms & conditions in full before paying your booking fee. By placing a booking fee, you are agreeing to these terms & conditions so if you have any questions about any of the terms, please ask before making payment. Failure to adhere to the terms may result in loss of booking fee if you are in breach of these terms.
General Information
- Unless otherwise agreed, your tattoo design will be shown to you on the day of your appointment and changes can be made on the day. All designs are drawn in my own style as can be seen on my portfolio, and in accordance with any references discussed. If you want to see your design before your appointment, please request this before paying the booking fee.
- The consultation is part of the tattoo process itself, rather than a separate meeting, allowing the design to evolve naturally through collaboration. All designs are created in my own style, as shown in my portfolio, and incorporate inspiration from the references we’ve discussed. The design may be created or refined during your session, including freehand elements drawn directly onto your skin. Design time is included within your session, and I encourage you to take the time you need to make the right decisions about your design during your appointment.
- You must be 18+ to get tattooed and must bring valid photo ID for insurance purposes. No ID means your appointment will be cancelled, and your booking fee will be lost.
- Appointments are one-to-one. Guests aren’t permitted unless needed for accessibility. Anyone accompanying you will be asked to leave for the duration of your session.
- I cannot tattoo you if you are pregnant. If you are breastfeeding, please let me know so I can I can inform you of how it can impact you and your baby.
- You’ll need to complete a consent form before your appointment. Certain medical conditions or medications may prevent me from tattooing you, including heart or blood pressure issues, blood-borne viruses, diabetes, epilepsy, skin conditions, or allergies. If unsure, please ask before booking.
- I can’t tattoo skin that’s damaged, inflamed, or infected on the day of your appointment. This includes sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, acne, cuts, blisters, peeling skin, or unapproved existing tattoos. If an undisclosed skin condition prevents us from proceeding, your booking fee will be lost.
- If you arrive having used numbing cream without discussing it with me beforehand, I won’t be able to tattoo you and your booking fee will be lost. Numbing creams can cause swelling, allergic reactions, and poor healing, which may affect your tattoo’s final result. Any complications from numbing cream use are your responsibility. Touch-ups for clients using numbing cream are charged at my standard rate.
Booking Your Appointment
- Getting a tattoo is a big commitment, so please plan ahead to ensure you can afford your appointment. For large-scale or multi-day pieces, I usually schedule one session per month over 6–12 months, depending on the project. Please take time to consider and plan your finances for the year before requesting a large-scale booking.
- A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your appointment and will be deducted from the total cost of your tattoo. The minimum booking fee is £40, and a full-day booking fee is £150.
- Your quote is an estimate based on factors such as size, placement, design complexity, and skin type. Please note that quotes are not fixed and may change if additional time is required. Quotes assume you’re able to sit comfortably and remain still for the duration of your session, with short breaks as needed. If you’re unable to do so, I’ll need to work more slowly to maintain accuracy, which may extend the project. To achieve the best possible result, additional sessions may sometimes be necessary and will be charged at my standard rate. If you have a strict budget, please let me know before booking so I can confirm whether it’s possible to accommodate.
- If you need to reschedule, I kindly request a minimum of 14 days’ notice. Booking fees are non-refundable, but I can reschedule up to twice within a six-month period. Requesting to reschedule within 7 days of your appointment will result in the loss of your booking fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment are charged at 100% of the cost of your session.
- When booking your tattoo, please choose a date that allows you to rest well the night before, eat a full meal beforehand, and have time to relax afterwards. On the day, please shower but avoid applying lotions or oils to your skin. Arriving well-rested, nourished, and hydrated helps ensure the best possible tattoo experience.
- A full-day session is six hours, usually running from 10:30am to 4:30pm inclusive of consultation, design, and tattooing time, plus a 20-minute lunch break and short 5-minute breaks roughly every hour. I’m happy to adjust timings on request if needed.
- If I need to reschedule for any reason, you’ll be given priority when rebooking. Tattooing is physically demanding and involves close contact, so if I’m unwell, I’ll reschedule to prevent spreading illness.
Your Appointment
- Please bring valid photo ID to your appointment for insurance and age verification. You must be 18 or older to be tattooed. If you’re unable to provide valid ID on the day, I won’t be able to tattoo you, and the full cost of the appointment will still apply.
- If you change your mind about your design, a new quote, booking fee, and appointment may be required. Minor adjustments can be made on the day but significant changes, such as new additions, different elements (e.g. species of flower), or unmentioned nearby tattoos or cover-ups that affect the shape, size, or level of detail, are charged at my standard rate. This may mean booking extra time or simplifying the design to finish within your existing session.
- Please arrive on time for your appointment and take a seat in the waiting area until you’re called over. If you arrive more than ten minutes early, please come back closer to your appointment time; the studio is small and space is limited. There are plenty of nearby spots, like Bread Source, where you can grab a drink or snack before your session.
- If you’re more than 20 minutes late, you’ll be charged at my standard rate for the lost time, in addition to the cost of your tattoo. If there isn’t enough time to complete your tattoo, an additional session may be required to complete it.
- I always aim to run on schedule and respect your time, but tattoo appointments can occasionally run over. This is rare, yet sometimes unavoidable due to the unpredictability of working with skin and people. I use discretion when issues arise—such as clients needing breaks, struggling to sit still, or miscommunication—which can sometimes affect the next session’s timing. I build gaps between appointments and limit my bookings to two or three clients per day to minimise delays, but timing may still shift occasionally. If you’re concerned about potential overruns, I recommend booking a morning session.
- Avoid consuming alcohol, cigarettes, or energy drinks for 24 hours before your appointment and in the weeks following it. Do not consume alcohol or drugs before or during your appointment. If you arrive intoxicated or under the influence, your booking fee will be forfeited and you’ll be asked to leave.
- Please eat before your appointment and bring some sugary snacks and drinks with you. For longer sessions, please bring a lunch with you.
- I work in a small, open-plan studio with other artists. Privacy screens can be provided during your appointment if you’d prefer.
- I often take photos and videos during the tattoo process to share on my website and social media. If you’d prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let me know before booking. A large part of my pricing reflects being able to use my work for portfolio and promotional purposes. Private commissions, where images are not shared, are available but priced differently. I love tagging clients in posts, so please let me know if you’d like to be tagged — I don’t tag anyone by default, out of respect for client privacy.
- Aftercare instructions will be provided after your appointment. It’s essential that you follow them carefully, as neglecting aftercare can lead to poor healing or infection. One free touch-up is offered if booked within three months of your appointment. Tattoos showing signs of improper aftercare won’t be eligible for a free touch-up session. Cancellations of touch-up sessions within 72 hours or no-shows will forfeit the free session, and rebooking will be charged at my standard rate.
- Your tattoo must be paid for in full before you leave the studio. Payment is accepted via bank transfer. If you’d like to discuss alternative payment arrangements, please enquire before booking.
- I reserve the right to refuse service at my discretion.
- Finally, thank you so much for your support. Choosing me as your artist truly means a lot, and it’s an absolute honour to create art that flows with your body and lasts a lifetime. – Lorna
